About the movie:

A successful, wealthy businessman, Wesley Deeds (Tyler Perry) has always done what's expected of him, whether it's assuming the helm of his father's company, tolerating his brother's misbehavior at the office or planning to marry his beautiful but restless fiance, Natalie (Gabrielle Union). But Wesley is jolted out of his predictable routine when he meets Lindsey (Thandie Newton), a down-on-her-luck single mother who works on the cleaning crew in his office building. When he offers to help her get back on her feet, the chance encounter with someone so far outside his usual circle ignites something in Wesley. This one good deed may finally spark his courage to exchange the life that's expected of him for the life he's always really wanted.

The Life Management Project

The Life Management Project (LMP) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that exposes young women to professional resources and real-world experiences.

LMP’s mission is to provide the practical life tools needed to ensure that young women are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources to overcome the challenges of real life.

LMP’s vision is to close the vast gap between academic knowledge and practical education needed to help young women successfully manage their lives as independent adults.

The Life Management Project provides an opportunity for girls between the ages of 14-18 in low-to-moderate income families in the Houston metro area, to be challenged in ways far above what they experience in a traditional classroom. Our program focus goes deeper than self-esteem and character enhancement to provide young women with pertinent real-life applications on college exploration, career assessment, life skills, character development, money management, and health and wellness, lessons that will benefit them as they transition from teenagers to young adults.
